ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES

AUGUST 21, 2008

7:00 P.M.   Called meeting to order. Present:  Paula B. Keefe, Ellen Abelson,

                    Richard Gorden and Mark Mazur.

1. The Board took the following actions on fiscal year 2009 exemption                          

applications for the owners of the following parcels:

       Parcel  126-40-2    Cl.22     Granted

       Parcel   121-15       Cl.22    Granted

2. The Board granted a special fiscal year 2008 abatement under the authority

            of  M.G.L. Chapter 59 Section 72A on parcel 102-92-1.  The parcel was

              purchased by the Town on 1/18/08.

3. The Board took the following actions on fiscal year 2008 Supplemental

Tax on new construction abatement applications for the owners of the following          

               Parcels: 

                           Parcel 57-27     Denied

                           Parcel 81-108   Granted

4. The Board discussed another fiscal year 2008 Supplemental Tax on New

             Construction abatement application but decided not to act on it until the

              Administrative Assessor had a chance to verify the applicants information with

               on site measurements.

5. The Board looked at a Finding of Facts Report from an Appellate

             Tax Board Case.

6. The Administrative Assessors described plans to update assessments for

             FY2009. The Board reviewed COD studies for single family houses,

             Condominiums and vacant land.  After some discussion the Board approved the

              plans to update assessments for FY2009                             

7.          The Board reviewed and then approved plans to assess three large new                                                           

             commercial projects for Fiscal Year 2009.

 8.         The Board decided to hold their next meeting at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday

             August 28 th.
